Women’s Murder Club – a peek

Women’s Murder Club

Since it’s ladies day here today at Snarkerati, I thought what the hey, let’s look at another cool women heavy show. They don’t happen that often, so it’s nice when they do. I do have a rather disturbing observation though, aren’t African-American women allowed to be leads in these series (ok Paula Newsome aside I guess)? I see lots of Caucasians and of course the token Asian representatives, but where are the people of color? Anyway, I’m not going to get into that whole thing, since there are some shows that work in the reverse of that theory. For me, I’d like a nice healthy mix, but maybe that’s just me.

So.… Women’s Murder Club, what is it? Well if you live in the US you may well already know the answer to that question since series one finished there just this week. The show follows the exploits of a homicide detective, medical examiner, newspaper reporter and a young assistant district attorney as they work together to solve homicide investigations. I love these kind of cop shows, so am looking forward to it hen it airs on Aussie screens in just a matter of weeks. Thought I’d highlight it for you, on the off chance you missed it.
