Say what? No Ian, there’s really no comparison is there, Twilight is a vampire genre film about teenage angst all wrapped up in a supernatural love story between a mortal girl and a handsome ‘good’ vampire…. oh wait…
Somerhalder who has never seen a Twilight movie suggests that comparing Vampire Diaries with Twilight is like comparing “apples and oranges”. I think it might be more mandarins and oranges Ian, but whatever you think dude. The Vampire Diaries in on Thursdays on the CW at 8pm, it also shows on UK channel ITV2 in the UK and Go! Channel in Australia.

Vampire Diaries is like Twilight!! theirs the sad sop he is madly in love with her and she is madly in love with him. in one episode he supposble has to “go” bc they will notice him not ageing! excuse me young lady, hate to burst your bubble but Vampire Diaries came before Twilight so if anything, Twilight is the rip off. Every vampire who chooses to live in the human world has to go at some point before people start to get suspicious about their lack of graying; Stefan Salvatore is also not the first or last vampire to have been interested in the medical field. Damon can contain himself which is why he still has not killed quite a few of the people he very badly wants to (i.e. the council of vampire hunters) he simply chooses to play with them and manipulate them so he can stay in Mystic Falls longer so he can free Katherine from Emily’s spell-sealed vampire tomb. Stefan does not call himself a “vegetarian” vampire, he simply chooses not to drink human blood, something that Damon constantly hounds him about since this makes him weaker than vampires who feed on humans. And seriously with the apples thing?? Twilight does not have exclusive rights to apples!
Whoever wrote this blog entry or whatever it is…FAIL. Vampire Diaries does not center solely around Stefan and Elena. The main plot revolves around the Salvatore brothers and what happened in Mystic Falls in 1864, but there are many many subplots. People should really stop talking (or writing in your case) out of their asses.
Vampire Diaries did come before Twilight so um yeah you up there vampire diaries isnt a rip off or whatever your trying to say.
The vampire diaries is better because it has Damon in it.

Vampire Diaries was there first. No denying. it had ‘vege’ vampires- first. Stefan wanted to be in the medical field… first. & on the subject of ‘brother who cant control himself’ im assuming your referring to Jasper and Damon. BIG difference. number 1, damon can control himself. hes mature and strong. he doesn’t kill because he cant control himself and he has to drain people dry if he tastes them, he does it because he like it. and the reason Jasper cant control himself isn’t because he likes it so much, if you’ve read the books [and if you havn't, stfu.] you’d know he actually hates it, ’cause he can feel their pain. and its because he spent such a long time doing it, its really freaking hard to stop when he gets going.
and on the subject of apples, omfg. they’re apples! they are a fruit. not something you need rights to mention. ^o) he was simple comparing 2 things which are based on the same ground [ fruit, and vampires -_-] but are completely different.
