There are quite a few upcoming TV series that fall into the nerd / geek genre, so if that’s your bag you might want to mark these shows in your TV viewing diary. First up is probably the big one “Revolution” from NBC. The show starts September 17 and has quite the marketing push from the studio. “Revolution” is set in a post-apocalyptic world where all advanced technology has ceased to work (electronics, computers, power). Next up we’ve got “Arrow”, a TV adaptation of “The Green Arrow”. “Arrow” stars handsome actor Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen aka Arrow. This is expected to air October 10.
Less geeky, but almost in the genre comes “Cult”, a new show that follows a journalist and production assistant as they look into fans of a popular TV series they believe are doing copycat crime, based off the series. This comes via The CW and is set to air late this year / early next. Wondering what happened to John Locke after “Lost” (actor Terry O’Quinn), he got picked up as a lead in “666 Park Avenue”, a show that sounds very similar to the movie “Devils Advocate”. “666 Park Avenue” is set to air later this year.
