Billy Mays might not be overly famous outside the USA, but in the US he’s very well known as the face of a thousand homeware items (generally Oxiclean, Orange Glo and other guff). The guy was a bit of a cult icon and now he’s gone at age 50. Mays wife found him unresponsive this – Sunday – morning.
The story of Mays death though may mean trouble for U.S. Airways due to events prior to his death. Mays even tweeted the happenings on his Twitter account stating “Just had a close call landing in Tampa. The tires blew out upon landing. Stuck in the plane on the runway. You can always count on US Air.” Mays told a news crew he’d been struck on the head by falling objects during the rough landing. Can anyone else say ‘sue’.
