Remember 2000 Leonardo DiCaprio movie “The Beach”? Well it’s getting the TV treatment thanks to a development deal with Fox. Let us assume the TV series won’t be filmed at the same beach the movie was, because I was there earlier this year and it is tourist HELL, trying to fit a film crew onto any of those beaches now would be nigh on impossible.
The TV series – like the movie – will follow “a group of young people feeling disconnected and disenchanted from society – try to start over in paradise but discover that while creating the perfect world is hard, protecting it is even harder”.
