Australian Idol fans were either gleeful or heartbroken with the news this week that one of the long time judges Mark Holden has been booted from the show.
Having been a regular on the show for 5 years, Holden was most famous for awarding the contestants a ‘touchdown’, similar in style to Paula Abdul – you know an over the top commendation of their performance. Since the show resorted to 4 judges this year when Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson returned, Holden has found it difficult find his feet and have enough time to get in his lengthy comments.
The interesting part about him being axed however is that he’s now revealed he has a sordid, scandalous diary that he kept throughout the last season of the show. His little book of secrets contains all the backstage gossip and all the goings on of both contestants and judges. He’s thinking of publishing it too, look out Marcia, your nicer than nice act could be crashing down around you soon!
