Timothy Dalton and John Simm in Doctor Who
It looks like The Master will be back for David Tennant’s big finale in Doctor Who. A leaked image showing Tennant, John Simm and Timothy Dalton has leaked online leading to much speculation. The Master has been the end / transformation of previous Doctor’s so one has to wonder whether that’s what will happen in the finale.
Many fans are speculating the Doctor will perform an act of self sacrifice for another character. Will Galifreyian or Borusa play some big role in proceedings, that’s the other rumor. One thing’s for sure Doctor Who fans love the chatter and they’re very excited about what this image actually means.

I’m going to put my neck out and say that photo is faked.
If you look at Simm and Tennant, you can see combing around the edges where they are moving. There is also combing around Dalton’s body, but no combing around his head. So either he is managing to move his body while keeping his head perfectly still, or the head was photoshopped in later.

doesnt really matter either way as the whole franchise is heading for disaster when matt smith takes over. this is a serious casting mistake and sites refusing to publish uncomplimentary comments will not cover up the fact that the show is obviously about to be pushed exclusively at 12 year old girls without taking into account the opinion of long term fans.

The picture is real, and Matt Smith will be great.
Catherine, have you seen Smith act? Have you read Steven Moffat’s scripts? This is what the long term fans have been waiting for, hell, this is what everyone has been waiting for - In 2010, television will be changed (no, not the digital switchover), I’m very excited.

Yeah yeah everyone will hate Smith!! has anybody even bothered to see any of his previous work?? I think not, as usual the book is judged by its cover. The so called “hardend” James Bond fans were the same when Daniel Craig was cast as Bond and they were made to eat their own rants too!
I great bit of casting by the beeb considering they would never have cast a veteran actor like John Simm or other names that were bandied around like Robert Carlyle, James Nesbit etc. The reason being is the BBC would never have payed the fee’s these actors would expect for a lengthy contract, hhere as poor little Matt will be doing this for peanuts just so he gets invited to do the “star in a reasonably priced car” bit on Top Gear! then he will have achieved his lifes ambition no doubt.

i can say that i’m 99.9% sure thats all a real photo. i’ve been looking into this for a while after finding an episode dating january 1st 2010, which has in the cast timothy dalton, both tennant and matt smith as the doctor and john simm again. so i would assume after seeing similar cast listing for the episode around xmas 2009 also that these two episodes are linked closely we may have a few surprises.
as for matt smith’s previous work he has had next to no roles of this importance before, he has merely featured in films, and on tv this seems like his first major role. they picked him from theatre work which unless you’re a theatre goer you wont recognise any of his work. as i don’t, so give him a chance they producers have obviously seen something they like right?
if you want to check my speculations go to imdb.com its simple, look for Tennant and go to his work you will there find all the episodes of dr who he’s been in and is going to be in plus other characters.
