If you haven’t seen the classic film “The Sound of Music”, you’re missing out, but fear not, NBC are promising to bring it to screen in a live broadcast.
NBC are reportedly partnering with Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, the producers of “Smash”. Their aim is to bring the classic movie to a new generation of TV viewers in the same tradition as the 1950′s where musicals would be broadcast live on TV.
The reincarnation of the show will be a fresh experience of the stage musical, as opposed to the movie, which will be an interesting and perhaps risky twist. There’s no broadcast date at this stage for the show, but casting has already begun. Will you tune in?
