Thought you might want this covered since Dr Who is such a massive hit with its fans. Sarah Jane Adventures is yet another Dr Who spin-off, but unlike the adult oriented Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures has a more kiddie vibe to it.
The Sarah Jane Adventures stars Elisabeth Sladen as investigative journalist Sarah Jane Smith and focuses on her (mis)adventures with a group of young teens. The series is spread out over ten 25 minute episodes. Although a second season has not been greenlit as yet, a press release stating a change of producer suggests it is a given.
The show has been a hit with Dr Who fans who say despite its kiddie cast and the way in which the series comes across, it is actually better than Torchwood in many ways. Fans are also happy to see the return of Elisabeth Sladen in her role of Sarah Jane, a role she originally had in the 70’s.
