The Leah Remini Talk Show?

Well, well, what on earth would Doug think about this news (probably that talking is what she does best so why not!). Seems that CBS are developing a daytime talk show for Leah Remini.

Remini is most famous for playing the long-suffering wife of lovable bear Doug Heffernan on CBS’s King of Queens during its 1998-2007 run. Since then though, she hasn’t done much, but she has appeared on other daytime shows like Ellen and Rachel Ray, and always manages to impress.

Her witty, snappy personality comes across well on TV and combining that with some elements of traditional talk shows may be enough to make her a success. Here’s hoping the show doesn’t head down the same path as Megan Mullally’s though. She’s another one that looked like she could have been ideal for daytime TV, but simple didn’t come across well.

No word on exact details yet for this, but if it does go ahead, it’ll be appearing in the 2009 schedule at some stage.
