The L Word spinoff series?

Fear not L Word fans, with the upcoming 6th season of the show said to be the last, there’s great news on the horizon for you! It was revealed over the weekend by Robert Greenblatt (Showtime entertainment president) that L Word creator Ilene Chaiken is working on a spin-off series of the show.

Greenblatt said that as soon as season 6 has finished shooting, the spin-off series will start and it will feature one of the current L Word stars. No word yet on who that might be, but most people are guessing Shane, Alice or Jenny.

As well as this news for L Word fans, Greenblatt also announced that Chaiken is planning to leave the ending of season 6 open, so that it can be carried on online. If the spin-off goes ahead, this means the online story will tie in with the new one. All sounds like great news and a good future for L Word fans!
