Who else is watching The History Channel series “Ancient Aliens”? I love all these sorts of shows, so I was excited when The History Channel decided to poke their nose into the mysteries of the Earth and universe. I always think of The History Channel in similar fashion to National Geographic or the various Discovery channels, that they are the pinnacle of research and top quality shows, so this would be great stuff.
A few episodes into the series however, there have been quite a few research points that seem, ‘fluffed’ for dramatic purpose. Having read a multitude of books on the subject I can’t help but feel the series misses loads of not only known points, but also common sense pointers, all dismissed in the narration and interviews. I’ll keep watching, but next time History Channel, at least try and show things a little less swayed toward the silly. Who else is watching and what do you think?
