When you read a lot of TV news, get sent a lot of TV news, watch a lot of TV screeners and generally live TV, every now and again a new show slips under your radar. One show for me this year has been the Julianna Marguiles series The Good Wife. I was discussing this show at dinner with friends the other night when an interesting conversation took place, that of The Good Wife being for women.
A male friend suggested he had not tuned into the show because he had assumed it was “a chick flick”. On watching the show though he rates it as one of the best new shows on TV and thinks it’s a shame a lot of people might also assume it to be just another “woman scorned” series. If you’ve thus far missed The Good Wife, play catch up. The CBS series is really good.
