How many legal series does it take to make the TV networks happy? Well apparently that number is somewhere in the realm of the infinite. The Defenders stars Mr Rebecca Romijn, Jerry O’Connell as a Las Vegas district attorney. His partner Nick Morell is played by Jim Belushi and it’s good to see him back on screen, though yet again, being a legal drama, this is more of the same.As soon as “the ex dancer” Lisa Tyler (played by Jurnee Smollet) was introduced I let out a little groan, of course the new smart, female associate used to be a stripper and of course there would be snarky comments made. She couldn’t just be a hot, young, female lawyer, she had to have been a stripper, I’ll try to suppress the yawn. Despite this ridiculous cliche the show managed to neither overly impress or let down, I was just a little meh. How about you, did you like The Defenders.
