The Closer Gets a Spin-off

Excellent TNT drama The Closer is being given the accolade of it’s own spin-off show. It’ll be developed by creator/executive producer James Duff and TNT have already handed out a script on it.

Sadly, at this point in time there’s little else known about the show, but if it can replicate the magic that Kyra Sedgwick deals out in every episode, it should be on its way to being a huge success. The show will be written by Duff alongside Closer co-exec producer Adam Belanoff and Michael Berchem and should feature the same style of production and scripting as the original.

As we all know, spin-offs can sometimes be just as successful, if not more so than the original, so this looks like an interesting development for TNT.
