Though Australian’s would argue they can’t have been anywhere near the absolute debacle the ARIA’s were this year, the AMA’s ratings were lower than expected. A few critics are stating one guy is to blame for the slump in ratings and his name is Justin Bieber.
The teen heartthrob (seriously?) took out a slew of awards and saw the ratings drop by a quarter over last year. Others suggest it was the NFL coverage that brought the ratings down. Whatever it was, the ratings were lame, though it did win out in the 12 – 17 demographic. Surprise surprise.
