Terri Munro Big Brother winner 2008

The little nanna that could finally took the Big Brother crown last night in Channel Ten’s final Big Brother series (for now!).
Terri Munro, the 52-year-old grandmother from New South Wales walked away with the $250,000 after being voted the people’s favorite in front of outgoing brickie Rory Ammon.
The finale as usual dragged on far too long, much as the show itself has done according to some, but there’s no doubt that it still has a spark of excitement when it comes to revealing the final winner.
Terri’s rollercoaster ride through the 85 days she spent inside showed her to be many things, but for most it was clear that the money would have the biggest impact on her life and that’s probably what got her the win in the end.
It was nice to see someone other than a 20-something model win the show in it’s last year and it’s with both happiness and sadness that we say goodbye to Big Brother Australia – at least for now. Terri says after seeing herself on TV she might get a facelift with her winnings.
Oh and what she said about adoption whilst in the house was moronic, so I’m not saying she’s super brilliant, just glad she won as she probably needed the money more than the other housemates.

I’ve heard that the series is now being cancelled in Australia and won’t return next year. Does that mean that Terri is the final ever winner of Big Brother Australia?

Hi Gerard,
they said the series was canceled, but they also said “FOR NOW” numerous times. Rumor has it another network may be interested in changing the format and taking it on.
Time will tell, I’d be very surprised if this truly was the last season of the show, given the money it spins for the network.
