SyFy picks up reality show Opposite Worlds

opposite worlds reality series

Chilean reality show “Opposite Worlds” is headed to SyFy (they do love their reality TV now don’t they). The Chilean series sees 20 participants who are split into two teams of 10, one team will live in the future and 10 will live in the distant past. Needless to say that means half of them are living a life of technological luxury, whilst the others are living a life of labor. Let’s assume the US version follows that premise.

Both teams are separated by glass, so they can see what the other participants are doing. Sounds interesting, though it is just another reality show. “This groundbreaking, edgy program is a remarkable television experiment transporting the audience and the contestants into starkly opposite worlds, simultaneously,” said Syfy’s president of original content Mark Stern. Heads up Mark, this isn’t groundbreaking television.
