Superbowl stays boring - Drags out Bruce Springsteen

You know, there’s probably very few other events in the world that are as spectacular as the Superbowl. I mean there’s the World Cup final, the Olympics and that’s about it in terms of sporting events.

Why then, do the organizers of the Superbowl insist in dragging out old rockers to perform now to headline the show? Yes, we know that Janet Jackson showed her boob off to the nation – who really cares? At least her show was entertainment and not just some old guy rocking out.

I’m sure lots of people are going to disagree with me, most likely spouting how Bruce Springsteen is a rock god who should be adored and how American he is and so on. Fine, I hear that, but really this is about a spectacle. It should be exciting, entertaining and have the wow factor. Does old Bruce really have that anymore? Personally I’d like to see Bruce rocking out with someone of the new generation of rockers or *shocker* a female artsit… how about Bruce and Daughtry, or Bruce and Pat Benatar, bet they’d sound cool together?
