It’s season eight of Strictly Come Dancing in the UK and the lineup has been revealed. As always with these kinds of reality TV shows there’s the usual mix of C grade celebs and some minor B grade celebs if lucky, but this time it doesn’t seem too bad.
One of the most well known celebrities appearing on the show is Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams, who clearly isn’t doing as well as Beyonce or Kelly Rowland. Alongside her is the delightful The Good Life actress Felicity Kendall, Holby City’s Patsy Kensit, TV magician Paul Daniels and comedian and psychologist Pamela Stephenson. As well as this group, there’s also conservative MP Ann Widdecombe, movie star Jimi Mistry, Coronation Street actress Tina O’Brien, Eastenders duo Scott Malsen and Kara Tointon, rugby player Gavin Henson, DJ Goldie, ex-England goalkeeper Peter Shilton and ex-Blue Peter star Matt Baker.
The show has had a revamp with a completely new set and will once again be presented by Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly. In a change to the normal process, the celebrities will be introduced to their dance partners for the first time live on air and will feature in a red carpet launch show. What do you think of the celebrities for this season? Will you watch?
