Former star of “The Office” Steve Carell just went into business with Showtime. Carell is executive producing new comedy series “Laughing Stock” and Showtime just put in a 10-episode order.
The show will feature one-on-one interview sessions with the big names in comedy, including Larry David, Jerry Seinfeld, Tina Fey, Mel Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres, Carl Reiner and Judd Apatow. Carell stated: We have gathered a monumental assortment of comedic legends, and their contemporary protégées. It’s enlightening, fascinating, but more importantly, it’s funny”. Sounds cool.
