Stephanie Jacobsen moves into Melrose Place

If the name looks familiar and you’re an Aussie, maybe you remember her from Aussie soap Home and Away, in which she played Charlotte Adams. If you’re not big on Aussie soaps, but do like your science fiction, perhaps you recognize the name from Battlestar Galactica, in which Jacobsen played the rather awesome – only Australian from the colonies – Kendra Shaw.

In the upcoming Melrose Place re-make Jacobsen will apparently be playing the role of Lauren, a young woman with a dark secret. You see Lauren is a med student by day, but at night she becomes a bit of a Belle De Jour, yes, a high end call girl.

I can’t really imagine this role for Jacobsen, but then I did love her as the gritty – damaged – Kendra Shaw in Battlestar Galactica: Razor. Time will tell where this goes. She also recently appeared as Jesse in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
