Stan Walker wins Australian Idol and wants Guy and Acting
A mere few days after winning Australian Idol, Stan Walker has expressed his desire to follow in the footsteps of his idol Guy Sebastian. For those who don’t know, Sebastian won Idol a few years ago and Walker apparently thinks it’d be wise to take after him in his career path.
Walker’s album is due to be released on December 11 and is hoping that his sales will be better than previous winners like Natalie Gauci and Wes Carr. While his singing career has barely taken off yet, he’s already got his sights set on becoming an actor – highly unlikely since his speaking voice is so much worse than his singing voice (mumble mumble).
As if this wasn’t enough for the God loving singer, he’s also planning to write a book about where he’s come from and where he’s going. At the young age of 18, it would seem he has a long road ahead. His new single Black Box will be released this week.

Ha. I reckon most people from Australia know who Guy is. No need to explain Angela. He is the Aussie who is going to have the highest selling Australian artist song on this year on the ARIA End of year Charts. A little radio friendly pop tune which has already sold well over 2 x platinum and is still sitting at #25 on the ARIA chart after more than 4 months. Not bad 6 years after he won that little comp which gave him a chance to sing for his supper and earn 18 platinum accreditations and achieve four #1 singles. Stan would do well to want some of what Guy is having. An amazing career with kudos from people like John Mayer and Steve Cropper. Time will tell if he can live up to his own hype.
