Starz has it made with the “Spartacus” series, they rebrand it slightly each season and not even the death of its lead actor could put a dent in its ratings. The show is back for its third season “Spartacus: War of the Damned” and it’s smashed the ratings for the network.
The season premiere managed a 5.5 in the ratings pool, the second highest ever for the network, down from the “Spartacus: God of War” premiere which managed a 6.3 share, but up from the premiere of “Blood & Sand”, which only pulled a 3.7.
