After NBC axed Southland, it was picked up by TNT and now, the saviour network has just handed the show its third season. It’s not a huge season, at 10 episodes long, but given this show almost didn’t make it at all, thats a bit of a coup for the cast.
Southland stars Ben McKenzie of “The O.C.” fame and thanks to this factor, the gritty cop show has quite the female following. TNT executive vice president Michael Wright stated “Southland is a challenging, visceral show that engages viewers with its immersive style, provocative storylines and complex characters”. Guess we’ll see more of that starting January 2011 when the third season begins.
