Sons of Anarchy star doing Vlad the Impaler?

He may have starred in the UK version of Queer As Folk way back in the day, but when we say “doing” Vlad the Impaler we obviously mean bringing to life his very own script! Charlie Hunnam who plays Jax in Sons of Anarchy (and Nathan in Queer As Folk UK - holy cow he filled out!) wrote the Vlad the Impaler script a few years ago, but has been too busy to do anything with is. Now Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B have picked it up and it may just see the light of day.

The story will feature no vampiric overtones, instead concentrating on Vlad the Impaler as a charismatic and brutal leader. Hunnam spent quite a few months in Romania back in 2003 and it was then that he put pen to paper and started the Vlad script. No word on the form it will take or even if it’d definitely been greenlit, but we’ll keep you informed.
