So who else is watching Sherlock, the modern day retelling of the famous detective. I caught the first episode, unsure of what to expect and I’m still not quite sure what to make of it. I do like it when a new spin is put on an old story, but it’s a tricky road to navigate.
Our new Sherlock is a young man with an eye for detail, a sociopath of sorts who has difficulty maintaining relationships, he’s also kind of annoying. Watson on the other hand is an ex army vet who finds something of a platonic soul mate in the weird Sherlock and thus a partnership is born.
The following contains spoilers from the first episode. So we have a cabbie who bullies people into taking poison. The plot made little sense to me, no one fought for their life, they looked like suicides, a very odd take given I think even a pixie could have taken on the villainous cabbie and perhaps got one over him physically, gun or no gun. I’ll stick with it though. What did you guys think?
