Apparently Shawn Ryan (the man behind hit series “The Shield”) and Eddie Murphy (the man behind the voice of Donkey in “Shrek” .. okay so he was in some other things too) have teamed up to do a re-imagining of the “Beverly Hills Cop” franchise, with Axel Foley’s son as the main character.
Axel Foley is of course the wise-cracking cop played by Eddie Murphy in the – rather brilliant – “Beverly Hills Cop” film franchise. One would imagine if this gets off the ground, Murphy will also make appearances. I guess we’ll see what happens.
