Sean Astin – star of “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy – has been snagged for a guest role in “Alphas” season 2. Joining Astin is “Battlestar Galactica” star Kandyse McClure, “Southland” star C. Thomas Howell, “Immortals” star Steve Byers, “Rookie Blue” star Noah Reid and finally “NCIS” star Lauren Holly.
That is quite the list of stars! Joining them and the series regulars also will be Summer Glau, who will also appear in a few episodes. Season 2 of SyFy series “Alphas” starts July 23 (US airdate).
