You know if I see a grassroots effort by the fans to save a TV show they love I’m generally supportive, this is one of those posts. The folks at SaveGCB (“GCB”, “Good Christian Belles”, “Good Christian Bitches” dependent on your locale) have started a petition to try and bring “GCB” back from the dead, after ABC unceremoniously axed it.
The show starring Leslie Bibb, Annie Potts and Kristen Chenoweth garnered quite the hate from ‘Christian’ organizations in the US and around the world (yes even here in Australia the fanatics were trying to get it axed), all because of it’s name. Seriously you would think these groups would have better things to do, there are far worse things on television that denigrate religion, have you seen the evening news where we’re blowing the crap out of each other, focus on stopping that. Anyway if you liked “GCB”, head over to SaveGCB.com and sign their petition. With main star Kristen Chenoweth already signed up to recur on CBS series “The Good Wife” I don’t think this push is going to go anywhere, but good luck to the people behind it for at least trying, you never know, maybe TNT will pick it up in some form. Personally I’m still sore at ABC for axing “The Gates”.
