Rosie O’Donnell is back on TV with America

Love her or hate her, Rosie O’Donnell is finally back on television. No, sadly it’s not to come back and bite the head off Elisabeth Hasselbeck from The View (we can all dream), but it’s to star in and produce a telepic for Lifetime.
The production is called ‘America’ and is about a 16 year old boy’s trials and tribulations in the foster-care system. O’Donnell will be reuniting with producer Larry Sanitsky and Joyce Eliason – both of whom worked with her previously on ‘Riding on the Bus With My Sister’.
The show will air in February and is based on a book by novelist E.R. Frank. O’Donnell’s role will be to play the boy’s therapist.
