You all remember Roseanne Barr, Roseanne Arnold and just plain old Roseanne right? No matter what name she goes by, she seems to manage to stir up plenty of controversy. If she isn’t at the helm of a number one rated sitcom, she’s being slaughtered for butchering the US National Anthem, blabbing rubbish about celebrities or generally just being a big mouth.
Looks like she’s hoping to put some of that creative energy into a more useful area with the possible return to the small screen in a new sitcom. The new show will be produced by Caryn Mandabach who originally produced Roseanne and it will be written by Jim Vallely, the guy behind My Wife and Kids, The Geena Davis Show and Arrested Development.
So Roseanne is giving it another go. TV viewers beware, this will either be really great or shockingly bad. So long as there’s no Dallas like dream sequences I’ll be happy.
Let’s hope it gets canned as quickly as Whoopi Goldberg’s did.
