Rachel Ray having surgery on throat

Everyone’s favorite TV chef (after Gordon Ramsay obviously) is Rachel Ray. She’s bubbly, healthy, fun and smart. Seems that all that talking up her lovely dishes though has played havoc on her throat.

Ray has discovered she has a benign polyp on her vocal chord and she’ll be having surgery in December to remove it. This would explain why she’s recently sounded like she’s had a sore throat constantly, even though she clearly has a pretty deep gravely voice anyway.

Here’s wishing Ray well on her surgery and hopefully it won’t keep her off TV screens for too long!
