Great news for fans of UK classic “Only Fools and Horses”, looks like Rodney is set to make a comeback… as his own dad. The shows original writer John Sullivan has been masterfully working away on the prequel and rumor has it Nicholas – Rodney – Lyndhurst is set to play the lead, as his own father Freddy Robdal. The BBC haven’t greenlit the project as of yet, but surely with the original writer and Lyndhurst onboard it’s only a matter of time?
Only Fools and Horses ran for 9 seasons from 1981, with some staggered episodes. The series followed the misadventures of Derek Trotter and his younger brother Rodney and their ‘black marketeering’ antics. The show is a classic because it’s a great show. If you missed it I highly recommend it. It co-starred David Jason as the lovable rogue Delboy (Derek). Here’s hoping this one sees a greenlight and lives up to its predecessor.
