Here we go again with another Battlestar Galactica related post – I’m not obsessed.. really. Everyone’s favorite Number Six (Tricia Helfer) has just signed on the dotted line for a one year stint with Fox.
Although nothing is set in stone yet, it’s thought that Helfer will star in a drama vehicle for the station. Hopefully she’ll be starring in a show as outstanding as Battlestar, but that’s going to be hard. For non BSG fans, Helfer is probably best known for her role as the host of Canada’s Next Top Model.
Last season, Fox cast Helfer in the drama pilot “Them” (as the amusingly named Naomi Tyler Moore) which was written by Battlestar Galactica writer David Eick. Fox head of casting Marcia Shulman stated that after seeing the pilot they were “wowed by her”, so it looks like a bright future ahead for our favorite Cylon.
