After literally years of rumor and speculation about new episodes of “Arrested Development” and a possible movie, it seems both are finally confirmed. It’s been 5 years since the series ended, but fans have never given up hope that a new series or a movie would eventually get made, now it seems their wishes may be a reality.
The shows creator Mitchell Hurwitz told an audience at Sunday’s New Yorker Festival that “a movie was still in the works, along with a new set of television episodes that would serve as a prelude to the film”. He later added they’re hoping to do a a limited-run series into the movie … We’re basically hoping to do 9 or 10 episodes, with almost one character per episode”.
