Looks like ABC wants a piece of the Mad Men pie. Word is ABC are making a show based on the glamorous life of the flight attendants and pilots from the 1960s who worked on airline Pan Am. The producer of the show working title “Pan Am” was a Pan Am flight attendant over 30 years ago. As far as airlines go, Pan Am seems to have gained sort of legendary status with regards to glamor, what with the uniforms and lifestyle often portrayed throughout pop culture.
Pan Am was founded way back in the 1920′s and officially folded some time in the 90′s. Their glam era though was definitely the 1950′s and 1960s with those uniforms and mass advertising campaigns. If this is done in similar fashion to Mad Men, it might actually be pretty good. We’ll update you as we find out more.
