David Mott, bigwig at Channel Ten Australia has been talking up Neighbours and how they’re moving it to digital channel 11 since it’s failing dismally in the regular channel slot. The move will also open up Channel Ten plans to have a 6pm news show in Neighbours present slot.
Neighbours has also been saved thanks to the UK audience, who still tune in despite falling ratings in Australia. The 6000th episode of the soap only managed just over half a million viewers in Australia, poor ratings to say the least given the advertising in the lead up. I used to watch Neighbours religiously and I haven’t seen it in over a year, the reason? The change to ‘kids’ storylines brought the show down (imo) so I turned off, have you?
