Fans of “American Idol” and “The X Factor” heads up, the new promo for NBC’s upcoming talent competition “The Voice” is here. There would appear to be a little bit of sneaky bitchery herein, a dig at those other shows, but it doesn’t stop this from being post worthy. The thing I like about “The Voice” over the other series is the blind auditioning idea. I don’t know how many times there’s been a great singer on Idol and it’s clear they haven’t gone through because they don’t have the look, whatever the look is. Of course let us assume only the first auditions will be blind and “The Voice” will then revert to type, hurling people off who don’t fit the idea of what a star is, ie thin, good looking, nice teeth and a bit of a pretentious dick.
