Fans of “My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding” prepare for yet more redneck / bogan / chav shenanigans as Channel 4 milk the ratings winner for all it’s worth. Around Christmas we will see “My Big Fat Gypsy Christmas” (working title at present). Later in the year we may well see other versions of the show, though these are merely placeholders at present with a lot of guess work going into them.
Deputy head of factual entertainment, Liam Humphreys said: “Big Fat Gypsy Weddings was a huge ratings success and we’re currently discussing a number of ideas going forward. We also have a one-off Christmas special planned, which has already been filmed. We’re obviously delighted that the programme [sic] has resonated with viewers so much.”
No idea why it has, it reminds me of “Toddler’s & Tiara’s” or “Jersey Shore”, total car crash TV. What do you think of these spin-off ideas?
