Remember Martha Plimpton? No? Okay, well she’s one of those actresses who despite being extremely good, tends to float under the radar most of the time, possibly due to the fact she’s not stereotypically good looking (in Hollywood terms).
Seems that the producers of Grey’s Anatomy don’t mind about putting more ‘normal’ looking females on screen (no comment here about the rest of the actresses), since they’ve signed up Martha Plimpton for a multi-episode arc.
Plimpton will appear in the new season premiere as the mother of a young hospital patient. She’s previously shown up in Law & Order: SVU, 7th Heaven and ER, as well as having a few outings on the big screen. The premiere will start on September 24.
Oh and on a personal note… there’s only one thing to say to Martha… “Martha… you Goonie!”. Yes Martha Plimpton rocked in The Goonies.
