Elizabeth Berkley, most famed for playing a stripper in the ill-fated 1995 film Showgirls is set to join the cast of CSI: Miami in a recurring role. Berkley will play Julia Winston — the ex-wife of Horatio Caine (David Caruso) and mother to Caines son.
This isn’t Berkley’s first gig with CSI, she appeared in a 2003 episode of the original CSI series as Renee, a ‘foam dancer’–yes her time on Showgirls really paved the way for a varied casting call there. Berkley has also appeared in the crime series Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Without a Trace and NYPD Blue. As well as her television work Berkley recently finished work on the independent film Meet Market.
