Life after Battlestar for Bamber

Fans of Apollo on Battlestar Galactica are no doubt dreading the day next year when the show finally stops airing for good – but fear not, there’s good news ahead.

Jamie Bamber, who plays Apollo, has signed on to star in the new UK version of Law & Order, known as Law&Order: UK. He’ll be playing one of the main detectives in the show alongside former comedian and Coronation Street star Bradley Walsh.

The show will follow the same format as the US edition, but will be centered in London and will have a UK production company behind it. It’s set to start shooting in August and will be showing on ITV. Yes, it’s another law show, but it seems there can never be too many of those as far as the ratings go. At least Bamber will be talking in his normal English accent for this one.
