L Word’s Jenny Schecter - Mia Kirshner - joins Vampire Diaries

Crazy lady Jenny Schecter, err sorry, I mean actress Mia Kirshner has landed a role in The Vampire Diaries for the CW. She’ll be playing Alaric’s wife Isobel in the show and will apparently be a recurring character.

The diminutive actress played Jenny Schecter in Showtimes hit series The L Word for its entire run. She’s also had a few movie roles and a couple of TV spots since then, but this is her first recurring role since the demise of The L Word. If anyone can pull of elf-like-innocent-vampire-fetishist-seductress it’s Kirshner. When playing Schecter the actress went from innocent flower to twisted nut case and back again, and she did so well.
