Don’t worry, we won’t be losing Randy, Paula or Simon from the judges table at American Idol, but we will be welcoming a fourth judge – Kara DioGuardi.
Yes, most of you are probably thinking, “who?” since DioGuardi is hardly a household name (at the moment). Even she was surprised to receive the call asking her to join the next season of the hit Fox reality show – “When I got the call, I thought they were calling the wrong person … I almost fell off the chair”.
As a successful singer/songwriter in her own right, DioGuardi seemed pretty overwhelmed at the press conference that announced her as a new judge, but she still managed to carry herself well and seems pretty smart and funny. No news yet on where she’ll sit, what her unique style will be or whether her and Paula will get along. With Paula being the staple female on the show all this time, it could be interesting. Stay tuned to find out what this means for the new season and whether DioGuardi has what it takes to make herself a star.
