“Packed to the Rafters” actress Jessica Marais has had more luck in L.A. than fellow “Packed to the Rafters” star Zoe Ventoura. You may recall the pair left Rafters a little female light (well Marais will when it returns), but Ventoura’s trip to the US was shortlived, returning to Australia to film bushranger series “Wild Boys“.
Marais on the other hand has just landed her first US acting gig, in the form of Mitch Glazer’s “The Magic City”. The ten-part series is about a crime gang working out of a Miami hotel in the 1960s. The series starts shooting July 6 and co-stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan (“Supernatural”, “Grey’s Anatomy”), Olga Kurylenko (“Tyranny”) and Glazers wife actress Kelly Lynch (“90210″).
