“Law & Order” fans heads up, this one’s for you. Actor Jesse L. Martin has snagged the lead in Marc Cherry pilot “Hallelujah”. Martin is probably best known for playing Detective Ed Green in “Law & Order”. ABC pilot “Hallelujah” sees Jesse L. Martin playing a mysterious drifter who heads into the town of “Hallelujah”, Tennessee, but this is no ordinary town.
“Hallelujah” is a town where the forces of good and evil do battle, but in a warm fuzzy, sing and dancing kind of way. The show will feature ‘musical elements”, here’s hoping better than those of the quirky “Viva Laughlin” which, though featuring ‘musical elements’, didn’t last very long.
