When I heard Howard Stern was in talks to join American Idol I immediately thought “oh gods no” (anyone that got the Battlestar Galactica reference there, kudos to you). There are so so so many people I can think of that I’d rather see in the Idol seat than Stern. I know the guy has his fans and if you’re one of them, more power to you, but for me, it’s a no go.
Seems I’m not the only person thinking Stern will be a mistake however, with one DJ in the US gaining the wrath of Stern, merely for suggesting he would stop watching the show if Stern appeared. Stern took the low road of course responding with alleged profanity to the comment. Is this the kind of guy you want earning a fortune for ripping the hearts out of young kids trying to catch a dream?
