How much do TV characters earn as a salary?

Ever wondered what your favorite TV show characters actually make in their salary (wages)? Well an article over at CNN has taken a look at some popular TV characters and dished the dirt on what that actual TV character would earn in a year.

Some of them seem outrageous given the jobs they do, but life isn’t fair I guess. Dexter, the forensics analyst (and part time serial killer of bad people) would earn around $47,680, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Doesn’t seem a whole lot of money for someone in such a professional arena. Other earners according to the article include Christine Campbell from “The New Adventures of Old Christine”. As you’re no doubt aware if you watch the show, Campbell owns a ladies gym. Apparently she’d make around $55,201 as a health and fitness supervisor, so she makes more than Dexter.

Other salary earners in the article include Olive Snook and Ned from “Pushing Daisies”. Olive would be on around $15,850 in her waitressing job and Ned would earn about $21,241 as restaurateur. Shame they didn’t do the characters in “Friends”, I often wondered how they could afford those massive apartments.
