Hilary Duff is Barely Legal

At last Hilary Duff might actually find herself in a permanent, semi-adult role for TV. Her deal with NBC has landed her with the starring role in a comedy at the network.

The show is called Barely Legal and Duff plays the role of an 18 year old who becomes the youngest attorney in California after passing the bar exam. It’s based on the true story of Kathleen Holtz, who passed the bar exam in 2007, gaining her instant infamy as the youngest attorney.

The script is being penned by Elisa Bell and Rob Morrow is executive producing it. Hopefully it’ll go the distance and won’t clash too much with another upcoming NBC series entitled Legally Mad by David E. Kelley.
